The Interpreter

      I've enjoyed reading this book and seeing the movie. This is a very interesting story because you always thinking about what can happen after reading each chapter. It's also interesting because I think that similar situations are happening in some countries in Africa. Too much political corruption, civil wars, etc. This book helps you understand these situations. Mi favorite character in this book is Tobin. I think he's a good detective, intelligent and he does a good job. I recommend this book to other ESL students because they can learn new vocabulary, write sentences and paragraphs more easily and better.

Entertainment and Education

   I'm discovering the world of video games now playing with my nephews. When I was a child, I didn't have much access to video games and I played board games. These games are less popular than video games, but are educational, not violent and provide entertainment. My favorite game was "Treasure Route" (the route of the treasure). The game is similar to Monopoly but oriented in the time of pirates when they were negotiating, buying and selling properties in different cities through which they passed. In this game you can become the richest man in the territory or the poorest if you lose all your property and money.

My Favorite Season

     I think every season is good and not so good. I like spring because the weather is good, not too hot; The days are longer and you can go out with friends for walk and talk with friends in bars taking snacks and drinks more often. You can also play sports outside. I like the fall because it's not too cold and if your visit natural parks at this time of year you can enjoy wonderful views of nature. The colors of nature are beautiful in autumn. The winter time is hard the days are shorter, but at this time of year you can enjoy the family at home, read more and watch TV more often. In this country you can enjoy winter sports more often if you like these. Summer is my least favorite season because in my country it is brutal. The temperatures are very high, but if you like the beach is the best season to enjoy. I hope the summer in Canada is smooth and not too hot. In conclusion, I prefer the seasons where the temperatures are pleasant as the fall and spring.

The best transportation

Statistics say that the safest mode of transportation is by plane. It is also the fastest. The main disadvantage is that it is very expensive. I use the plane when it is the only option to travel, for example, when I travel to Spain from any country where I am. I prefer to travel by train when traveling inside the country because it is safe, cheap and you can enjoy the view. In many countries there are trains that can travel at high speed (300 km / h) and comfortably. The bus is unsafe and slower, but when I have no money to travel the best option is to travel by bike because it doesn't pullute the enviroment, and gives physical exercise.

Visit Canada

  I would recommend a friend who wants to visit Canada, should stay here for many days if he wants know about this country. Canada is the second biggest country the world and has many things to see and do here. He must bring a good camera to capture good images and a lot of money, because Canada is a very nice, but very expensive. If he likes the winter and snow this is the ideal country to visit. You can practice and see winter sports as ice hockey, ice skating, skiing on the many stations there, etc.. For the situation in Canada near the North Pole in this country you can enjoy one of the best shows that nature provides are the Aurora Borealis. You too can see  very beautiful lakes, mountains and forests. You can enjoy the friendly people and good food.

The Tranquility of Living in Calgary

   I have lived in many cities. I think Calgary is the safest city in which I  have lived. Anyone can walk safely in the streets at all hours of the day. I think nobody will disturb or say something bad. There are nice people in this city and know that if you hurt people the police can arrest you quickly and have many problems in the future.
In cities of Colombia or Spain people have to be careful. It is dangerous to walk at night in the street. Houses and cars have to be well protected so that thieves do not come in and steal. Finally, I think it's too cold to think of committing crimes during the night. You can freeze if you're running.

My Favorite Food

    My favorite food is pasta. The basic ingredient of the Pasta is flour. Other ingredients such as salt, egg and vegetable can be added. The green pasta containing spinach. The orange pasta containing carrot and if the pasta is colored red, this contains tomato. Normally the pasta is slightly yellowish. Scientists discovered the oldest noodles known in a bowl of mud buried under a layer of sediment from three meters thick near the Yellow River in northwest China. These noodles are about four thousand years. I like pasta because you can eat in many forms and very funny. You can eat it in salads or hot dishes mixed with meat, fish or vegetables and many types of sauces. Many athletes eat pasta before sports. Pasta is a healthy and delicious food. You can become a good cook if you know make a good pasta dish.

   If I win 10 million dollars in the lottery!

   The first thing I do is go to a nice restaurant and enjoy a good meal with my family and friends. After that, I buy a nice big house, but not luxurious. A new house to live smoothly and comfortably.

The next thing I would do is buy a plane to go visit my family and go on vacation anywhere carrying all the bags I want without paying excess baggage. 

  If I have money left over so invest in a mobile phone company. I think people will always use these equipment to communicate. Finally, I think that life should continue at the same rate, because there are more important things in life than money.

City and Country in Spain

In Spain, I think the country life is better than city life. For several reasons. First of all, lifestyle is healthier, because the food is better, more fresh and natural. Second, in the field hasn't environmental pollution and you can breathe fresh air. Children can play without problems in many safe places without traffic. Finally, I think in the big cities of Spain doesn't have these things, but you can get good jobs and children can study in better schools with more technology. In conclusion, if you choose to live not too big a city such as Pamplona, San Sebastian or Cordoba, you can combine the two lifestyles more easily.

Hi and welcome to the Francisco's blog. My name is Francisco. I'm from Spain. I'm living in Colombia, because I have a ocupation there. I like read, sports and Spanish food, because It's healthy. I arrived in Calgary on the 30th of December last year. I hope to learn English here, and I want to work some time here as a geologist. I chose Canada because I think it's a good country, the climate, the food and the people are lovely. I think the English program of the university can help me enough to learn English, meet interesting people and make my wishes here.
